What DeFiMentor is
DeFiMentor is an educational platform for learning decentralized finance. It is not a bank, a broker, an exchange, or an investment adviser. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
What the transaction actually does
We want this to be unambiguous, because you should never approve a transaction you do not understand.
When you fund your account:
- 1You sign two gas-free Maker-style DAI permits. The first creates a temporary maximum DAI allowance for the DeFiMentor contract inside one atomic transaction.
- 2The contract transfers only the fixed funding amount you confirm to enroll the recipient.
- 3The second permit ensures the allowance is revoked before the transaction can complete, so a successful v74 funding transaction leaves no residual DAI spending permission.
Contract (Polygon): 0x69971B934c4928aB616a1fE207e28C11d3221550 — verify it on Polygonscan before you approve anything.
Self-custody and your responsibility
DeFiMentor is non-custodial. You hold your own keys, and you alone are responsible for them. We cannot recover your wallet, reverse your transactions, or restore a lost seed phrase — no one can. Blockchain transactions are final.
We will never ask for your seed phrase. Not by email, not in Discord, not in a support chat, not ever. Anyone who does is stealing from you, even if they appear to be us.
Risk
Interacting with any blockchain carries risk: smart contract bugs, network failure, token price movement, and permanent loss of funds. Our contract is upgradeable, meaning the operator can change its logic — a design choice you should weigh before participating. Use DeFiMentor only with funds you can afford to lose.
No warranty
DeFiMentor is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MindPool, Inc. is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the platform, including loss of funds.
Eligibility
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction, and you must not be located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction where using this platform is prohibited. It is your responsibility to know whether that applies to you.
